WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The views of 14% of U.S. adults are being influenced by what is seen on social media, according to the Pew Research Center.

Among this 14%, men were overall reportedly more influenced by social media content than women, but only by 2%.

When considering the effect of social media on adult views as a whole, the age group that is the most influenced is ages 18-29. In this age group, the Pew Research Center’s information shows men being more influenced than women once again.

The information provided by the research center also shows that, among those who are affected, Democrats are nearly twice as likely to be influenced by social media as Republicans.
